Through my eight years of experience as a foster/adoptive parent, as well as thirteen years working with those coping with trauma, I have found that a supportive person to listen, along with the creative arts, can give the confidence for anyone to control the next chapter of their story (no matter where it started). My expertise is helping clients struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, identity issues, abuse, and neglect. I aim to help every client feel heard, respected, and confident enough to change the next chapter of their story in a safe and creative environment.

Marissa Postler is a singer/songwriter and music educator in Grand Rapids, MI. After teaching K-8 music for GRPS over the past 5 years, she recently transitioned to teaching private lessons to students of all ages while leaning further into her own music project, Mar in Color.

Her life's mission is to express what's inside of her through music and art, share it with the world so others can connect with it, and empower others to do the same so we can all experience healing, growth, inner peace, and deeper levels of fulfillment. She is so excited to be able to work toward this shared mission with Maker Story Creative Collective!
